Teacher Appreciation Gift

The first week of May is Teacher Appreciation Week and I’m going to show you my twist on this post by Rachel Berry . I went to Homegoods and got a great huge plastic wine glass. Then using my Cricut I made dots and an initial using the George and Lyrical Letters font.

I applied them to the wine glass and put about 300 pencils inside. In the middle, I hid another treat, a gift card to the cheesecake factory!
Once that was done I wrapped it in cellophane and put on a pretty gold ribbon. Then I added a card that said, “Thanks for being such a sharp teacher!”
She loved the gift and hey when ist’s summer she can always put in a bottle of wine and a straw  so it serves a dual purpose (wink wink). Below is the original idea for you to see if you’d like to make that one as well.

  1. Excellent idea! Want to take it one step further and having the teacher truly appreciate your thoughtfulness? Sharpen those pencils. :) :) A 2nd grade teacher
