Online Meal Planning

Food Planning Online - Miss Information

You know I LOVE food and when life get’s busy it’s much easier to plan out things. As a blogger, that shares recipes, it requires me to also add in blog recipes I want to make. Many people ask where I get my recipes. Many times they are from family and friends. Other times they are from looking at cookbooks or online and putting my own spin on recipes I find.

You can create great meals for your family by doing online meal planning, like I do,  with Yahoo! Food. They have brought together the best food editors, including Managing Editor Sarah McColl; former Bon Appetit senior web editor, Julia Bainbridge; Rachel Tepper from Huffington Post Food; and Alex Van Buren, who’s written for Bon Appetit, Gourmet, and Martha Stewart Living.  Food Planning Online - Miss Information I am going to share with you my 5 day meal plan. You might be saying there are 7 days in the week why 5? With busy after school sports we invariably eat out at least once a week, and on the other night, it is left overs or eat what you want. On the weekends we like to take our time and really cook something new or special. Like these Lamb Chops with Mustard Herb Crust.  Food Planning Online - Miss Information Here is a sample of my menu plan for next week using Yahoo! Food:

MondayNo Cook Tomato Sauce and Garlic Texas Toast

TuesdayGrilled Kebabs with Oven Baked Buffalo Blue Cheese French Fries

Wednesday – Soccer Practice, everyone’s on their own.

ThursdayPulled Pork Nachos

Friday  – Basketball practice and Mom’s too tired to cook, Eat Out!

SaturdayLamb Chops with Mustard Herb Crust and Wilted Spinach Salad with Caramelized Onions

SundaySlow Cooker Mushroom Onion Pork Chops and a Peach Buckle for Dessert

Yahoo! Food has more than just recipes. You know I love good tips, especially in the kitchen and they have all sorts of things like how to cut a whole chicken like a pro and how to clean a cast iron skillet. You can follow the latest food trends and techniques and learn from the best publishers in the business like Bon Appetit, Epicurious, Food52, Martha Stewart and more.

Now it’s time for you to check out Yahoo! Food and plan out your family’s dinner! Leave me a comment and let me know what recipe you want to try!

  2. Everything looks so delicious! I definitely need to work a little harder at food planning, and doing it online would make it so much simpler.
