Kids Making Masterpieces

So this week has been trying. After a 2 day, 10 hour car ride back and forth to Pensacola Beach this weekend for a family reunion, we have all been on edge. It is my kids last week of summer they start back to school Monday. I would love to be one of THOSE MOMS who says, “oh I am so sorry to see summer end I will miss my kiddos so much” but no, I am the one that says ” Halla-freakin-lulla, schools back in session and Mattie is going to pre-K 5 days a week” all while doing the happy dance. The boys are fully on each others nerves and mine. They are constantly fighting and bickering and are now on restriction for the rest of the week from TV and all electronics!

I know you must be thinking is she crazy? She just took away all the big ways to get them out of her hair. So yesterday I got out some canvases I had gotten really cheap at the Hobby and paint.

I laid out a $1 store table cloth on the back porch and put paint in an egg carton I saved, giving them both there own paint. (I could just hear MOOOOOMMMMMMMM he put the red paint in the black paint!!!!!!!!) you get the picture.

Garrett asked me to help him draw a Lego character for him to paint on his, I did my mommy best.
So here are the 2 masterpieces. Ok they are not a Picasso but I love them, I think they are great! They had a great time doing them and are very proud of them so I will have to look for a special place to hang them.

All I can say at this point is pray I make it through the rest of the week!
