I L-O-V-E margaritas! They are one of my favorite drinks! I found out I was pregnant with my 2nd child on December 23rd, 2007, two days later I received a Margaritaville Margarita Machine for Christmas. I must say that was the longest nine months just staring at it, I swear it was taunting me. This Blue Curacao Margarita is one of my absolute favorite margaritas and it's a show stopper.

I love our favorite traditional margarita recipe but when we want to return to the tropics and have something fun or something a little more unique, this is our go to Margarita. I love my Margaritaville margarita machine for the perfect icy margarita but you can also make them perfect in a high powered blender like the Ninja blender

Blue Curacao Margaritas became a thing for me on my honeymoon in Aruba. I could not get enough of them. My husband was a bartender during college so I asked him to figure it out. Luckily he did and they just make a party so much more fun!
How to perfectly salt the rim of a blue curacao margarita.
Many people have a strong opinion on salted vs. unsalted rims but there is a secret to getting the perfect salted rim. Before pouring your margarita into the glass Take a lime wedge and run it around the edge of the glass, pressing hard to make sure you get the juice all over it. Pour course salt onto a small plate and press or roll the glass rim into it. Then pour the margarita into the glass in the center to keep from messing up the edge. Add a wedge of lime or put an orange slice and cherry on a skewer or cocktail pick to decorate and you have the perfect margarita.
