Down and Dirty Frozen Margarita Recipe

This is the best margarita hands down I've ever tried and no fancy mix is needed!

I am a lover of Margaritas. This down and dirty frozen margarita recipe I am going to share with you today is from Pam, one of my roommates after college. It is almost Cinco de Mayo and there is no better excuse for a Margarita!

This is the best margarita hands down I've ever tried and no fancy mix is needed!

I usually will order my margaritas on the rocks when we are out because they will make them by hand. I like my margarita to be strong high octane. A lot of times in restaurants the frozen variety will taste like lime water because they use mix in a big slushy machine. There are ton’s of mixes out there but to me they are a total waste of money. I have tried many but nothing compares to this and you won’t believe the secret ingredient!
Now you can use your blender but in our house we use the Margaritaville Frozen Concoction Maker  it makes the ice so perfect. Crushed with no big lumps!
Makes the smoothest margarita ever and is great for partiesTrue story… my husband bought this to give me at Christmas in 2012, the day before Christmas I found out I was pregnant…..no lie….had to look at this thing for 9 months…pure torture. OK, get on with it, I know,

Do you use 1/2 can of everything for the frozen margarita?
  2. I whole heartedly agree with this recipe. Tried tons of mixes and nothing did it. Most were too sweet. This limeade is the right balance. Thanks for sharing. I’ll be going to the store this evening lol.
  3. If you wanted to make this not frozen, to make a big batch to serve at a wedding. I wouldn't add ice to blend would you add ice to keep cold and it would melt or add water ?
    1. I would add just a little water maybe 1/2 a cup to start and taste then add more if you feel it need it in 1/4 cup increments. To keep it cold if you are putting it in big serving jars with a tap I would fill a water bottle 3/4 full of water and freeze it then submerge the bottle into the pitcher to keep the drink cold but not dilute it. You may can find something prettier than a water bottle but this will give you the idea.
