Saving money on wine for your wine party
I don’t have to worry about figuring out which wines to buy thanks to the experts at DRINKS.com. They are offering a fabulous set of wine assortments at awesome prices. The wines in each assortment are carefully selected by wine experts or you can customize the assortment you buy. No subscription is required. It’s a new way to buy wine and explore wines you’ve never had before! It’s perfect for a wine party or a girls weekend!
I chose to order the 6 bottle assortment for just $54.99. That is less than $10 a bottle! It has one bottle for every taste from a chardonnay and riesling to a cabernet and merlot. If you are going to invite quite a few people then try this 12 bottle assortment from Barclays or this 15 bottle assortment from Heartwood and Oak.
Now for the really fun stuff! Let’s talk food ideas for your wine party! Have your friends all bring a favorite appetizer or try some of my faves like these Cheesy Ritz Potato Balls
Any of these 15 Cheese Dip Recipes are amazing and you can’t go wrong with cheese and wine right?
Pull out your favorite wine glasses and these cute wine cocktail napkins, plates, and a few serving utensils and you are ready to go! If you want to use the same glass for each bottle be sure to have a bowl and bottle of water at the ready for people to rinse their glasses out with before you pour each one.
I know you want to make sure everyone keep up with their own glass during the event so make these fun bottle cap wine charms with each person’s initial on them or you can put any image on them you want so they can keep up with their own glass.
If your glasses are stemless then these wine glass marking pens are perfect. Each person writes their name on the glass then you can wash them off after your party for another time.
Before the event starts, put all of your bottles in wine bottle bags or wrap them in fabric with a bow so no one knows what’s in each bottle. I love these pre-printed burlap bags but you can also just print out a number and tie it on with some ribbon.
You’ll also want a wine party tasting scorecard so everyone can pick their favorite!
Everyone will have fun trying to guess what variety is in each bottle. You can tally the votes at the end and see how got the most right and the most wrong. I’ve made you an easy one you can print out HERE.
