We love to eat wings but recently since we’ve cut quite a bit of salt out of our diet. When we get them out at restaurants they are way too salty for us. The hubby decided to, as he says, “get his grill on” and make these great chicken wings on the grill in 4 different flavors for dinner. They were AMAZING! We grill on a Big Green Egg and are total fans so we are also going to give you some great grill tips. Let me show you how we prepped these delicious wings.
The four flavors we made were Serano Pepper Wings, Asian Teriyaki Wings, Honey BBQ Wings, and Buttered Buffalo Wings. We used Moore’s Marinade for our sauces because they are our favorite marinades and sauces. We’ve used their buffalo sauce for my Slowcooker Buffalo Chicken and my Oven Baked Buffalo Blue Cheese French Fries.
Recently Moore’s saw my french fry recipe and sent me a box of all their sauces to try. We used them on all of these great chicken wing recipes along with some rubs or add-ins. They were perfect and not too salty. First I’m going to give you the process and then below there are links to all the recipes for you.
We took 3/4 of our chicken wings and dusted them in BBQ Rub, the other 1/4 we put lemon pepper on. We put them in my favorite marinating containers and let them sit while we got the grill hot and the sauces ready. These grill best when they some of the chill is gone from the refrigerator.
Then we grilled them on our Big Green Egg. You can get our grill tips for these chicken wings by clicking the picture below but of course the grill tips will apply to any grill as well.
Prepare your sauces and put them in zip-top gallon sized bags.
When you pull the wings off the grill divide them into the bags. The lemon pepper wings went into the Teriyaki bag and the others are split between the Serrano pepper sauce, Honey BBQ sauce, and Buttered Buffalo sauce bags. Close the bag and mush the wings around in the sauce or shake them.
Serve with blue cheese or ranch dressing if you want but these are so good you won’t even need it! I’m giving you each recipe on a separate page so you can print the one’s you want, just click the buttons below for each wing to get that recipe and print it. You can also see all my other grilling recipes and tips by visiting my Grilling Page.
So what’s your favorite sauce for your great chicken wings? Leave me a comment I’d love to try it?
