All Natural DIY Powdered Cleanser

by Kelley Wilson Filed Under: Cleaning, Home Tips, Popular Home Tips sidebar 5 Comments

I love to DIY Cleaning Products. It allows me to spend less money and have a set in each bathroom and the kitchen. This recipe for a DIY Powdered cleanser that is all natural is so easy to make and works great on tubs, sinks and toilets.

DIY Powder Cleanser an all natural cleaner that will help you scrub away stubborn stains! Pin it to make it!

I put my powdered cleanser in a mason jar I had on hand and ordered this awesome Shaker Lid. It was originally made for herbs. They come in packs of two and will fit any regular sized jar. They were perfect for this DIY powdered cleanser.

Here is what you will need to make yours:

2 cups borax

1 cup baking soda

½ cup Citric Acid

½ cup kosher salt

20 drops Lemon essential oil

This all natural cleaner recipe can be used two ways. You can dampen the area you are cleaning with water then sprinkle on the cleanser. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes then scrub with a brush or wipe with a cloth. For really stubborn stains. Sprinkle on the cleanser then spray it with vinegar and walk away for a few minutes. You will see lots of bubbles when you apply the vinegar don't worry about that, it just means it's working!

Salt also makes a great abrasive for scouring powders! And Orange Essential Oil is a favorite around here for its natural degreasing properties :)

LOL Thanks Evelyn, that is only for really rough things like dirty grout. For anything else you can use regularly.

Baking soda is really useful in cleaning and removing stains, I'm a fan of this one and use it a lot. Thank you for sharing this one.
