I can’t wait to share with you a present I made with Mod Melts for one of my best friends. Angelle is from NOLA and when I saw the mold with the fleur-de-lis I knew I had to make something for her. She has the most beautiful Red hair and I thought some pretty gold earrings would be just the ticket. So I made her these Mod Melt New Orleans Saints Earrings.
Using Mod Melts sticks and a Mod Melt Mold from Plaid I make the fleur-de-lis. You can see my post here on making Mod Melt Bulletin Board Pins and how I Embellished a Lamp Shade with Mod Melts here for more information on how Mod Melts work. I put the earring backs into the Mod Melt as soon as I put it into the mold.
Once they were dry I popped them out and painted them with metallic gold paint. I did 2 coats. When they were dry I printed out a little card that said Geaux Saints…that’s Cajun for Go Saints, on a piece of scrapbook paper and pierced the earrings through it.
I think they turned out pretty cute and Angelle looks great in them and now she can cheer her favorite teem in her Mod Melt New Orleans Saints Earrings!
