How to Keep Stainless Steel Shiny and Fingerprint Free

Do you have a lot of stainless steel in your kitchen that drives you nuts with fingerprints and smudges? Well it’s your lucky day I’m going to show you how to keep stainless steel shiny and fingerprint free. That is fingerprint free within reason of course, fingers coated with sticky syrup on them is not what we mean by fingerprints. I mean those everyday body oils that cause prints and streaks.

I only have a few stainless steel appliances in my kitchen but they get dirty quick! I was asked to try Steel Meister and was intrigued by the fact that it’s not some milky pasty goo and wondered if it would really work! So I’m going to show you my results, here is the before of my toaster oven. (Just wait till later when I show you my stove!)

So I pulled out my Steel Meister which I purchased exclusively at Home Depot, and sprayed it on a clean sponge, you can also use a clean rag.

Steel Meister clean, polishes, protects your stainless steel and metal surfaces all in one shiny can! It has a low pleasant odor and repels fingerprints, resists smudges—thanks to its micro-thin protective layer. You can also use it on copper, chrome, aluminum, fiberglass, outdoor grills, automotive trim, and bathroom fixtures.

Next I just wiped it on and left it for a few minutes.

Now just buff it with a microfiber cloth or cleaning rag. There was no filmy layer that I had to scrub to get rid of, so if you are in a hurry when companies coming they won’t even notice if you missed a spot!

They also have Steel Meister Spot Cleaner which works as a pre-cleaner for Steel Meister. I love it when I get a night off and my husband has to cook but the clean up is the penance I pay for that relief!  Steel Meister Spot Cleaner removes caked on food, dirt grease and grime from your cook top or stainless. Don’t worry if you don’t have a stainless steel cook top, Range Master  is Meister Cleaners product ideal for glass and ceramic cook tops because there is no grit to scratch it. It get’s rid of burnt-on dried up food, grease and grime. Range Master rinses clean with water and is food safe.

 Oh I almost forgot to mention they also have a product for stone countertops. I have not tried it because I have Corian, but other consumers say, “it’s the only product that was able to remove watermarks from their granite.” Stone Meister seems into the microscopic pores and scratches to lift out dirt like a magnet, It is non abrasive and won’t affect sealers.
