Hey there, I’m Rachel from {i love} my disorganized life!
If you haven’t already guessed, I’m a new contributor here at Miss Information. Today I’m going to share an {Incredibly} Simple Fleece Scarf.
But before I do, let’s chat a bit…..
Kelley and I met several months ago through a bloggers group, and we hit it off instantly. We text, message and ‘hangout’. We have a ton in common and are already making plans to cause tons of trouble at the first blogging conference we can get to! So, naturally, when she asked me to contribute to her blog, I was really excited!
You’ll be seeing me bi-weekly, so I should tell you a little about myself. First and foremost, I’m disorganized {hence the name of my blog}. I’m also a no-pattern-sewing, eye-ball-it-crafting, shortcut-recipe-making kind of girl. I don’t like to spend too much time on complicated recipes & patterns. I’ve been married to Mark for over 22 years, we have 5 children and 2 grandchildren. With only 2 kids left in school, we are looking forward to more time with each other. I have awesome readers and love to engage with them on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter & G+.
OK, enough about me, let’s get going!
Supplies:
- ½-¾ of a yard of fleece {depending on how wide you want your scarf to be – mine was 24 inches}
- rotary blade cutter
- cutting mat
- yardstick
- sewing machine
Directions:
- using the rotary blade, cutting mat and yardstick, trim off the selvage edges (that yucky white part) off the material
- with your sewing machine, use coordinating thread and zigzag stitch along all four edges
Voila! You now have a simple fleece scarf that will keep you or your man warm and cozy!
