My kids are donut fanatics. They love that puffy bread dripping in sugar. (OK well maybe I do to) It was time to try making them baked and since Matthew loves apples, these baked apple doughnuts were just the ticket.
They are really easy to make and if you have a few apples on hand you are set. These are perfect for a weekend treat and you can do a regular powdered sugar glaze for your picky kids. For the more adventurous this caramel walnut glaze is divine. It’s like a caramel apple on steroids. I promise everyone will fight over them so make sure to make plenty!
