Decoupage Christmas Ornaments {Martha Stewart Crafts}

Recently, as a part of Blue Print Social, I was asked to make a holiday craft using Martha Stewart Crafts. As a part of this campaign I was compensated for my time and given some of Martha’s craft products to try but the idea and process of making it are all my own.

 These easy decoupage christmas ornaments are cute gifts and you can make them with your kids pictures in them for a fun Christmas craft

I am trying to get a jump of some small Christmas gifts for this year. Once Halloween passes, the next two months always seem like a whirlwind for me! This year for some family and friends I am making decoupage ornaments. These are so easy to make and are a fun way to make something special. You can buy all of the Martha Stewart products I am using at your local Michael’s store or at Plaid Online.

Supplies:
Martha Stewart Durable Glitter Multi-Surface Finish
Martha Stewart Durable Matte Multi-Surface Finish
Plaid Sponge Brush
Silver and/or Gold Tissue Paper
Scrapbook Stickers with a transparent background
4” Flat Round Ornaments
Ribbon
Iridescent Snow Flakes

First I used my Martha Stewart circle cutter, which I bought a while ago at Michael’s, you can see from the scratches it is well used! I cut the tissue paper to 4” the diameter of my ornament.

Using scrapbook stickers I applied them to the tissue paper circle, don’t worry about the creases in your tissue paper this will all go away soon.Easy to make homemade Christmas ornaments with decoupage and scrapbook stickers

Apply the Martha Stewart Durable Matte Multi-Surface Finish to the back of the ornament and to the front of the tissue paper. If you don’t the tissue will stick and be stuck.Next smooth the tissue paper onto the back of the ornament. You will get creases but this just adds to the depth of the ornament.Easy to make homemade Christmas ornaments with decoupage and scrapbook stickers

Let this dry for about 5 minutes then use the Martha Stewart Durable Glitter Multi-Surface Finish. Why? Because sparkly is fun! You can use the Matte again if you don’t have the glitter on hand.Easy to make homemade Christmas ornaments with decoupage and scrapbook stickers

Fill the inside about a fourth of the way up with Iridescent Snow Flakes and tie a ribbon to the top. Next time I am going to try a picture of my kids on the back. This Craft was so fun to make and kids would love it. It’s quick and easy and perfect for a craft party as well.Easy to make homemade Christmas ornaments with decoupage and scrapbook stickers
