Brownie Trifle Recipe

Ingredient List

  • 1 box pkg. fudge brownie mix plus ingredients to make
  • 1/4 C. coffee liqueur optional
  • 1 3.9 oz. pkg. chocolate or chocolate fudge instant pudding mix plus ingredients to make
  • 1 8.7 oz. pkg. toffee flavored candy bars, crushed (I use Heath Bars)
  • 1 12 oz. container frozen whipped topping, thawed

Directions

  1. Prepare brownie mix according to package directions
  2. Pour into a 13 x 9 in. pan and bake according to package directions
  3. Prick the top of warm brownies at 1 in. intervals with a wooden toothpick and brush with coffee liqueur, if desired.
  4. Crumble brownies into small pieces.
  5. Crush candy bars and set aside
  6. Prepare pudding mix according to package directions without chilling.
  7. Place half of crumbled brownies in bottom of a 3 qt. trifle bowl; top with half each of pudding, candy bars, and whipped topping
  8. Repeat layers. Cover and chill at least 8 hrs.
