Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Cream butter, 1/2 cup confectioners sugar and 2 cups of the flour at low speed until it resembles crumbs.
Press into a 9 x 13 pan.
Bake for 20-30 minutes until browned.
Combine eggs, 1/4 cup flour, 2 cups sugar and 1 tsp. baking powder until well blended.
Stir in lemon juice.
Pour over warm crust and bake for 25-30 more minutes until top is golden brown.
Mix together 1 cup confectioners sugar and 4 tbsp. lemon juice and pour over cooled bars.
Let glaze set then cut into squares
