Ingredient List

  • 2 cups stone ground grits
  • 3 cups water
  • 3 cups chicken stock
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese optional

Directions

  1. Put grits, water, chicken stock and salt in slow cooker and stir.
  2. Set slow cooker on low for 6-8 hours
  3. Stir in heavy cream, butter, black pepper, and cheese if desired.
