Homemade Cream Cheese Frosting

Ingredient List

  • 2 8 oz packages of Cream Cheese Softened
  • 1 Stick 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter Softened
  • 3-4 Cups Powdered Sugar


  1. Set cream cheese out for about 1 hour to soften
  2. Blend cream cheese and butter in your mixer.
  3. Slowly add powdered sugar.
  4. Spread on your cake or if you are making cupcakes put the icing in a Ziploc bag and cut the corner off. Swirl onto the cupcakes

Recipe Notes

You can adjust the amount of powdered sugar to your taste to make it more or less sweet.
