Soft Sugar Cookies

by Kelley Wilson Filed Under: Christmas, Desserts, Holiday, Recipes 2 Comments

When I think of sugar cookies, I think of mixing the dough, letting it chill, rolling it out, and then expertly decorating them for all to ‘oooh' and ‘ahhhh' over. And then the realization of what my sugar cookies would actually come out looking like. Um, no thanks. I much prefer an easy recipe for soft sugar cookies.

Give me a cookie that's easy to mix, bake and decorate. Oh, yes, and it's got to taste good, too. That's what I love about these soft sugar cookies. Simply mix the dough, roll in sugar and bake. If you just can't live without the frosting, then by all means, go ahead.

These soft sugar cookies are perfect for frosting, adding a simple sugar dusting or eating plain.

I love gifting baked goods during the holidays, like this pumpkin bread. It's so moist and delicious- I make it every year, and always get compliments on it.These soft sugar cookies are a perfect addition to any cookie plate or even on their own.
