A Valentine card for boys can be hard to come by. I have 2 boys and every year it’s a struggle to find a unique valentine card for them to give to friends. We are not big candy eaters in our house so I wanted something different but boyish and came up with this airplane-themed Valentine card that you can print and make yourself. Airplanes are big in our family, my father worked at Lockheed and my father in law worked at Delta. My oldest son’s nursery was decorated with airplanes. So yes it’s a constant theme at our house.

I designed my card online with PicMonkey, an online photo editing and printable creation site that has a free and a paid version. It’s mostly what I use for editing all my photos on my blog. I printed these on card stock so they would be sturdy. I purchased foam airplane kits from Amazon to go with the cards. Using a hole punch, I punched holes in the plane packaging and card and tied them together with a ribbon. Yea it was that easy!
I had the boys sign the back of the cards before I tied the airplanes to the cards. The boys love the airplanes and I’m glad I ordered extras because they kept getting into them. They would go up our back stairs and throw them over the banister into the living room leaving planes everywhere.
