My Favorite iPhone Apps

In September Jilly over at Hi! It’s Jilly did a list of apps she wanted to try for her new iPhone. Today I am going to share some of my faves.

My friend Cheryl introduced me to My Fitness Pal, it is great for looking up the calorie content of food. I must admit I am not the best at entering everything but I do depend on it when I am out and about and have to eat fast food in a pinch

I love Pinterest and this app just gets better all the time. It now is very similar to what you see on your computer and great for passing time when you are standing in line!

Oh yes there is an app for that! I am ALWAYS forgetting to print my coupon and now I don’t have to Hobby Lobby’s App has the coupon of the week on it, all I have to do is show it at checkout! LOVE IT!
Color Snap is a great app. You can take a picture of any item or fabric and it automatically suggests paint colors for you. Never wonder what color matches ever again!
Card Star holds all your pesky loyalty cards in one place. I used to have mine on a ring or in a separate coin purse but trying to find all of them was a pain and everyone wants you to sign up for one. You just scan your card just like you do a QR code and it holds them all in your phone. When you go to buy something you just whip out your card on your phone and they can scan it.
When I want to pick up a movie for Friday or Saturday night to watch with the family I can now look to see what movie I want and which Redbox has it in stock. It saves me time and running around.
Speaking of movies, we don’t rent DVD’s from Netflix but we do use there streaming service with our Wii. They have an app you can also stream on so when we are out and Matthew is bored I can whip out my phone and let him watch an episode of his current fave. Yes it is a fabulous babysitter and I admit it!
Draw Free is one of my guilty pleasures. I always loved to play Pictionary and this let’s me do that with friends. My friend Becky and I disagree on the use of writing words but we do have lot’s of fun! You also get to watch your friends guess your word. My favorite was watching my friend Julie who has a doctorate in nursing and is Jewish miss-spell dreidel 5 times before she got it right.
There are of course all the bloggers best friends which are Facebook, Pages for Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram (which I use to take pics of Christmas shopping ideas and to remember where I saw things I want to buy later.)
So I am always looking for new and great apps, what are some of your favorites???

Great list of apps; thank you for sharing! I'm a big fan of Pinterest, Draw Something and the Hobby Lobby app too, so those would definitely be apart of my favorites list as well. Some other ones I'd also include would be: Chase, DISH Remote Access, TurboCollage, Instagram and Facebook. I'm away on business a lot for my job at DISH, so the entertainment apps are usually what I love to have. DRA is the one I use the most these days especially since I just got a Sling Adapter. Now with that I'm able to use the app to watch all of my favorite shows from home, live or from off my DVR, anywhere I go in the world. It's especially nice when I'm traveling half way across the country and missing all of my favorite shows. :)

Great list! My favorite app that I've recently become addicted to is Scramble With Friends (made by the same people as Words With Friends, except it's basically Boggle instead of Scrabble). It's great! Thanks for sharing at The Fun In Functional!
