Melissa & Doug Shut-the-Box is a great game to practice math skills. Many kids with ADHD have problems with Math. You roll the die and then try to turn down numbers to equal the dice total making you have to think about different combos to make up numbers. It’s a really fun, fast (so they don’t have to pay attention long) and retro game.
Wok and Roll is a great game for small motor skills you have to chase these little pieces of food around a wok that is jiggling around and you have to use chop sticks. It’s tons of fun!
Variflex 38-Inch Mini Band Trampoline is great for getting the wiggles out. When your kid is bouncing off the walls then just put them on this and let them bounce away!
Pop-Arty Beads are great fun especially for girls to make bracelets and necklaces but they are wonderful to work on strengthening your hands and fine motor skills.
WatchMinder 2 Silent Alarm & Reminder Watch System is a wonderful watch that will send reminders for everything from taking your meds to paying attention. You cannot go wrong with this watch for a ADHD’er! The best thing is that it vibrates so that no one else has to know what is going on.
CHEW STIXX PENCIL TOPPERS look like a strange eraser but are actually made to chew on. Have a kid that chews pen tops or pencils? These are great for providing sensory relief and are not noticeable to other kids.
Rory’s Story Cubes are great for kids who have trouble processing to write a story. It is easy and helps prompt them to the process of writing a story from beginning to end.
Sometimes you just need a warm hug and Cozy Plush Buddy the Monkey Microwavable Soft Toy is great. It has Lavender which is calming and promotes sleep.
Purple Water Pearls or Orbeez are so soothing to play with. You can play with them on a light table or in the tub and they are so much fun. Dip you feet in them and feel the tension melt away as you laugh and squish.
Clue The Classic Edition is a great game to problem solve and stay organized which are 2 skills that are hard for ADHD’ers
Last but not least is the chore chart here is a great one to try Melissa & Doug Deluxe Magnetic Responsibility Chart.
I hope you find something fun from here to help the kids in your life and please I would love for you to share any things you have found to be good for your ADHD or Sensory Kid.
