Bloggers are The Most Supportive People

I have been blogging for over a year now. I am still a virtual baby in this world. I have made some great connections with some wonderful bloggers and just wish I had the time to read and comment on every post they make. In my past working life I have very often dealt with people being mean and ugly purely because of competition. This blogging world is so different. Even though we are all after the same goal there seems to be more of a sense of "there's enough room for everyone".

I first started realizing this from +Christine Cook at The DIY Dreamer she would comment on posts and would always answer any question I had. There are many others like +Trish Flake  and +Bonnie Mauney  from Uncommon, +Julie Espy  at White Lights on Wednesday, and +Jenny Melrose  from The NY Melsrose Place. They have always been willing to help, support and give advice.

Last August I decided to be in a blog angel and got linked up with +Angela Paris  from Juggling Act Momma, I was her Blog Angel and tried to help her out during my month as her angel. She gave me the idea for a post that has ended up gaining me lots of traffic. but she has been a much better Angel to me and my blog!

Last year Ang sent out an email asking if any of us were attending Online Blog Con.

How to Paint your Ceiling Fan

Last week I finally got to work on Garrett's Bedroom, we are officially going to BIG BIG boy room. His nursury had an airplane theme because both Grandpa's were in the aeronautics industry. Then he was a huge horse fan so we went to a cowboy room. When he was told me he didn't want that anymore I took everything down and covered the holes with Starwars wall clings till I was ready to redo the entire thing. So here is the before with the shelf taken down that was around the top of the room. 

Yes he takes after his Dad and is a slob but this was also after we had started taking stuff out of the room. So I will soon reveal the entire room but for now here is how I customized his ceiling fan.

Mom's Chicken Salad

My Mom used to cook quite a bit. One of my favorite things was her chicken salad. Most people make there's with cubed chicken but hers was smooth. I can remember watching her grind it with her mixer. I have not had her chicken salad for years so when I got a Grinder attachment for my KitchenAid for Christmas I knew what I wanted to make first!
