Ear Candles, Who Would Have Thunk it!

First I have to admit, I'm a Q-tipper. That's right I know they say don't stick things in your ears but I do. At least 3 times a week I shove that cottony white stick right in my ear canal and just spin it around. It feels so good I could just move my leg up and down like a dog getting it's belly scratched... ok that may have been a little TMI but well I do tend to overshare!

Bacon and Onion Crust-less Quiche

On this week's I Freakin' Did it Friday link party one of my favorite links was this one from Chatting Over Chocolate. I could not wait to try it. My friend Shannon introduced me to Whole Foods bacon and onion quiche when we visited her in Alabama. The hubs and I were hooked! So I decided to marry the two together.

It's been a fun week, yesterday I got to announce the winner of the $150 gift card to Container Store, it was Carrie over at Frugal Foodie Mama. The best part is she just moved into a new house so this will really come in handy!

So last weeks party was lots of fun and while you guys were partying here I was in the Blue Ridge Mountains for my friend Julie's 40th birthday!

Pinterest Mac and Cheese Fail

So tonight I am working on dinner and want to make sure I have at least one thing on the plate the kids will eat. To my horror I was out of Mac and Cheese! So I decided to give one of my Pinterest Pins a try. Have you seen this???

So I am not giving blog names to protect the innocent because the fail was I am sure my fault but was so funny I had to share! I could just taste that creamy goodness. Well here is my Pintastrophy!

So I used wagon wheel pasta because that's what I had and I don't think that was the problem. I used low fat cheese and doubled the recipe. The recipe said it should be 4 minutes in the microwave. Well this is after 8 minutes and it looks like a curdled mess.

Oh well this is what I get for improvising! What has been your biggest Pinterest Fail?

Freezer Cooking and Italian Pesto Chicken

Over the holidays I got together with my friends Jen and Wendy. We brought all our kids to Wendy's and her husband who usually is like all our husbands, you know the one. He's that guy that we love dearly but when we are with our peeps we like to list all the things that drive us crazy. Hey it's strength in numbers. Well this day he was the BOMB hubby. He took all 6 kids and kept them occupied while we cooked. They fished, skinned a dear, shot BB guns and rode around there property on a golf cart.

The women did this!
