Popcorn Ice Cream

This year my mother in law retired from being a elementary school teacher. We went out to dinner to celebrate at a wonderful restaurant named Canoe. It's located in Vinings on the Chattahoochee river. For desert we experienced one of the BEST and most unusual deserts I have ever had...Popcorn Ice Cream!

Easy Airport Parking

Whenever vacation consists of airplane travel it always ends up a tense situation for my husband and I. My hubby likes to arrive at the gate when they are already boarding and claims that we have enough time. I meanwhile am in total anxiety about making it. In Atlanta there are quite a few off site parking places to choose from. When you parkat one of these off site facilities they pick you and your luggage up and drop you off at curbside baggage check in. There are 2 great benefits to this system

1) It's much cheaper than airport parking
2) You don't have to schlep your kids, luggage, car seats, etc from the far side of the airport parking lot to the baggage check in.
3) And did I say it's more convenient and cheaper????

The week before we left for San Diego we came across a wonderful Groupon!!! 10 days of INDOOR parking for $55! at Peachy Airport Parking. I am all about giving a shout out to great companies and had to share with you our experience. Peachy was located just off of 85 right at the airport.  First we drove up into a warehouse that had been converted to a parking garage, can you say,

"Thank you Peachy for being green and doing something useful with the 5000 empty warehouse buildings here in Atlanta!"

When we drove in and parked a shuttle was there immediately to pick us up. In the past I have had to sit at the back of my car looking around wondering if a shuttle was going to get there any time soon. I have also had certain spotted shuttles actually pass me on a row over and never come back for me adding to my anxiety that we would miss our flight. Peachy was there for me when I stepped out of my car.  The wonderful shuttle driver hopped out and helped us load all our luggage and car seats so we could get our kids in and situated. The kids thought riding in this shuttle was just as fun as the impending plane ride. It's not often they get to ride without a seat belt! Poor Matthew was crying because he was afraid we would not get our car back, this is the first time he can remember flying so it was all new to him. Once he realized how fun the shuttle ride was I think he was ready to let them keep the car.

Upon returning to Atlanta we picked up our luggage and walked down to the shuttle parking area, Peachy Indoor was the first bus in the line, why you say does this matter? Hartsfield-Jackson is one of the biggest airports in the USA and the busiest of all airports in the US, so there are A LOT of shuttles so when you are trying to schlep kids, luggage, car seats, carry on bags and a purse... well the less walking you have to do the better. We again loaded up with the help of our shuttle driver and were driven right back to our car. Mattie was very happy that Momma's traveling lounge was waiting for him safe and sound.

There are a few extra perks that are offered by Peachy Airport Parking that we did not take advantage of but that you may want to know about;
  • You get a free USA today (something to read on the plane)
  • A Free Water when you exit for the ride home
  • You can reserve your spot ahead of time on there website to make sure it's waiting for you
  • Right now you can get 3 Delta Sky Miles for every $1 you spend on your parking!
We will definitely use Peachy Airport Parking again when we travel because we got to the plane on time and for the first time in a LONG time we did not argue before getting on the plane! They also have an Outdoor Facility available for even more savings on your Atlanta Airport Parking and you get a FREE CAR WASH!

Facebook Changed Everyone’s Email to @Facebook.com; Here’s How to Fix Yours

As reported on Lifehacker and it is very true, mine was changed and this made it easy to fix!

Facebook just removed everyone's email address from their profile and replaced it with an @facebook.com email address without asking you. Here's how to easily fix the problem.
Facebook launched its own email service back in 2010, which was promptly forgotten by everyone. This morning, Forbes noticed that they removed everyone's email addresses from their profiles, replacing them with an @facebook.com email address instead (not Facebook's internal email address which they use for notifications and password resets, just the one listed on your profile). Luckily, it's easy to get your old email address back on your profile:
  1. Click "About" on your profile and scroll down to your email address. Click "Edit" to change them.
  2. Click on the circle next to your Facebook email address and change its setting to "Hidden From Timeline".
  3. Click on the circle next to your other email addresses and change their settings to "Shown On Timeline".
  4. Click the Save button at the bottom of the Edit popup (Don't forget this step).

That's all it takes. It's a really quick fix, but it was a big jerk move for Facebook to do this without asking permission, or even telling you that it happened. Spread this info around so people don't get stuck without any contact information, too, lest we lose the one aspect of Facebook that was still useful.
Update: A Facebook spokesperson has responded to everyone's questions on the subject, but they don't have much to say—except that yes, they have given everyone a Facebook email address and rolled out a "new setting that gives people the choice to decide which addresses they want to show on their timelines." They did not explain why (or even acknowledge) that all of these addresses were made default on people's profiles. You can read the full response over at Matthew Keys' blogThanks, @MsLaurenRae!

Visiting The Set of Good Luck Charlie

On our vacation we drove up to Los Angeles for a few days so we could see Garrett's God parents and see the high school graduation of Chris' goddaughter. My best friend from high school is Kim who you met here.  Kim's husband is one of the owners of LA Center Studios.  LA Center Studios has been home to Terminator 3, Dream Girls, Mad Men and Disney's Good Luck Charlie. Pete was sweet enough to have us over so Garrett could see the set.  Here's the outside of the 6 sound stages.

Unfortunately they had just wrapped on with filming so we didn't get to meet any of the actors but we did get to meet the set designer, the costume mistress and the producer. The set designer was sweet enough to give us a tour. Here are the boys entering the front door of the Duncan's home. I have always loved the quirky decorating on this show so really enjoyed this part.

A Cleaner that Keeps Away Germs even after you Clean!

A few weeks ago I came across a company called Natural House. They offer natural household cleaning products with probiotics that work on germs even after you are finished cleaning. Why you may ask would someone need that?

In Novemeber of 2010 my husband had a Kidney Transplant and the medicines that he has to take to prevent rejection also lower his immune system to almost nothing. This means that any germ that comes in our house could make him really sick, so we do the best we can to make sure that does not happen.

When he had his transplant we were warned about places that families swap germs the most and the bathroom is the biggest trouble spot in any home.

Upon receiving a sample of Moppy which I loved, I asked to become a blog reviewer for Natural House Products. Any thing said in this review is purely my opinion. I was not paid to do this review I was only sent one free bottle of product to try

So now meet Glassy, isn't she sassy!

Our Diners, Drive-ins and Dives Lunch

Chris and I love to watch Food Network. While we were here we built in 2 free days so we could all so something we wanted to do that not everyone else may have wanted to to do. Since yesterday we did Lego Land and our feet were very tired we decided to do something easy. Chris looked up restaurants from Triple D and found Hodad's. This little beach side hole in the wall was decorated with bumper stickers and vanity license plates. There was a line out the door so we knew it had to be good.

Lego Land San Diego

As those of you who read my blog know last week My parents took our entire family on a vacation. Every other year they take us on a Family Vacation instead of giving us Birthday gifts. This years agreed upon location was

I thought I would share with you some of our Vacation. They rented a 4 bedroom house for us to stay in and it was really great. We were able to be with each other instead of trying to find a hotel room to cram into.

I learned some new things about San Diego on my trip. I thought for sure that being so far south it would be really hot. Not so Joe! None of the houses have air conditioning....yes you read that right. They don't need it. It may be sunny in the day but there is always a cool breeze and I could totally live here! (Honey when are you opening your west coast office?)

So our first day here we went to Lego Land. We did this first so we would not have to hear all the boys saying "When are we going to Lego Land" 50 times a day.

There is also a new Legoland in Orlando for you East Coasters that just opened. When we first walked in we got our first "photo op" turned out pretty cute I think! Notice both kids squinting in the son instead of wearing the sunglasses they both had....

Make a Blog Banner by Jill at I Know the Plans I Have for You

Hi there! My name is Jill, and my little space is called I Know the Plans I Have for You. I started my blog a year ago, and for months it was based on furniture that I gave new life to. Some of my favorite redo's have been a trashy chair brought back from the dead {check it out}, a lemonade stand that I made from pallets {take a peak here}, and a craft station that I made for my kids from a drop front crib {get drawn in here..get it ;)?}. I have such a passion for furniture and the endless possibilities. I will always love redoing furniture and all things DIY, so I don't see those blog posts ending anytime soon :)! But in the last few months, I have had some changes in my life and with these changes, I have noticed my blog changing. I feel like it is a good change.I feel like it is becoming more personal, that I am letting the world into more than just a talent...I am letting the world see me! So, I hope you will come along this journey, as I travel down the path to His plan!

Today I would like to share how to make a blog banner {or at least how I make mine}.

Ahhhhh, wouldn't that be lov.er.ly!
Here's wishing Kelley a fab.u.lous break.
I'm Cathy @ My 1929 Charmer
We've been experiencing the the warm days of summer - even if summer isn't officially here yet....
it will be 90° on Sunday in Illinois :(((
In our household we love any kind of potato salad,
but in periods of high heat we prefer salads that are light on the mayonnaise.
Being the mustard girl that I am, I came up with this so yummy and easy salad.
Great for the hot days ahead.

Meet Delilah at Confessions of a Semi-Domesticated Mama

Hey y'all! You can call me Delilah! I'm the mommy to 5, wife to 1, and warden to a psychotic dog! I’m a self-confessed socially awkward, southern girl with sass. I share my sometimes-successful attempts at domestication, motherhood, and life in general on my blog, Confessions of a Semi-Domesticated Mama. I'm definitely not the next June Cleaver but my kids are still alive, my house hasn't been condemned and I still have all my own hair. I'm just a mom- that’s my superpower. Welcome to my Semi-Domesticated Life. I hope you brought wine.

I’m Kelley Wilson from Lilburn, Ga., located NE of Atlanta. I have been married to my hubby Chris for 11 years. We have 2 boys Garrett 8, and Matthew 3, a dog named Chili and a turtle named Bumblebee.
Kara I am so humbled you asked me to guest post and can’t thank you enough.
It is my first time so I am very, VERY excited!

My first attempt at blogging was in 2010, it was called Sensory Fix read more about that here. Hubby was ill and we were informed he would need a kidney transplant, read more about that here (it's actually a very inspirational story). Needless to say with all that going on the blog dropped to the wayside.

White Wine Sangria and a little Vaca

Hey all, the boys and I are going on Vacation with my family. I cannot wait. We have tons planned and I will most likely need a vacation from my vacation. It will be good to have a break!

So to celebrate I'm leaving you with a cocktail, white wine sangria!
There is nothing better than ice cold wine in the hot summer heat!

It's summer and I love white wine! I love it any time of year but especially when it's ice cold and I'm not. (Which happens a lot now that I'm in my 40's and it has nothing to do with the weather outside)
This is a recipe which I adapted from my friend Rebecca and I hope you all like it, it's great for a party or tonight I am serving it with Korean Beef Tacos! Yummy!

Miss Information's had a Makeover!

So in April I was doing a link party at Get Outta My Head Please where she announced her new website My Time Designs! She was also having a contest for a FREE Blogger Blog Design. I entered and since I never win anything I never gave it another thought until I got an email from Brooke saying I had won. She and I have been emailing ever since and today is the big reveal, what do you think? Isn't it GRAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you could imagine my excitement I am jumping up and down and yelling I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT!

I thought getting a custom blog design was going to be totally out of my reach ever so I never even looked into it. Boy was I wrong!

First, I would like to Thank Brooke, she had great ideas and was SO EASY TO WORK WITH. She make this whole process PAINLESS! She was patient and when I wasn't sure of something, she worked with me till we got it. I now feel like my blog is really me and your blog should be. I started asking Brooke about how much it would be to do a Coordinating design for my Twitter Page and about died when she told me how reasonable the price was. I could not believe it! If you have not ever thought about having your blog professionally done you should, even if it is just some small things to customize your look.

My husband is getting a blog up and running for his business and we are going to hire Brooke to do that for us.

Now the best part to celebrate my blog makeover is that Brooke is offering to all my followers :

If you go over to  My Time Designs  or to her Facebook Page and tell her Miss Information sent you she will give you an entire
Blog Makeover for 50% off...
You can get everything the whole kit and kaboodle for $50 regularly priced at $100!

The Humor in ADHD

Some may get offended that I put ADHD and Comedy together. As Howie Mandel says "It's funny, but it's not, but it's funny" If we can't laugh at ourselves we are not living a full life. I  am not making fun of people like myself because I was persecuted by teachers and others that did not understand and it was not funny. There are so many things that I now realize are a result of my ADHD that crack me up. Here are some things that show the humor in it
