Spring Cleaning Tips

Pin It Now!
Ok so they say cleanliness is next to godliness, well if that is the case then I'm gonna be stuck in purgatory for a long time! I used to have what I call a Domestic Goddess come in every 2 weeks but that is not in the budget right now so I am on my own. I do mean on my own literally because I am the only female in a house with 2 slobs and a 3 year old who does hold some promise.

I am determined to figure out how to be a June Cleaver in a Rosanne Barr world (yea I know keep dreamin right) Our home is what I call a 5, 4 and a door, 5 windows on top, 4 on the bottom and a door stuck in there somewhere. It is a traditional southern home and our town is filled with this style home.

My husband works from home so we thought when we bought this house we would need more room. Well more room means more work cleaning and I have a hard time keeping up. So in the spirit of Spring Cleaning here are some things I have found to help. All of these and more are located on my Pinterest Board for Cleaning and Organizing. If you don't have a Pinterest account send me your email and I will send you a link.

  3. I think breaking up the cleaning daily helps tremendously! Otherwise if the whole house needs cleaning I dread it! I also find a "family cleanup" helps knock a lot out in a shorter time.

  10. I just went thru the post that “how to clean your ceiling fan”. It is simply a cool idea. If we use a pillowcase then we can wipe off the dust into the cover. Great tip.
