My Favorite Bar Recipes

My family loves cookies, brownies and bars. My boys ask for me to make them all the time. I recently started a Bars and Brownies Pinterest Board which you can follow here. This weekend I was looking for a recipe for a party next week and thought I would share my favorites.

Old Fashion Recipe Blog Swap Pair-Ups Announced

Hey Everyone, Julie, Rachel and I are so excited we have 30 blogs participating in our Recipe Blog Swap! This idea came from the history of recipe exchanges. Many food bloggers are here today because of the recipes there family and friends have passed down to them. I am sure you looked at the title of this post and said she is either drunk or sniffing. Alas no I just want you to met my friend Lisa from the blog Wine and Glue! Lisa and I met through OnLine Blog Con, an online blog conference. I love the name of her blog and have grown to love her as a person. She is funny, sarcastic and helpful anytime you need it….oh look she’s just like me, only younger!

A Mother’s Day Southern Ladies Tea

My good friend Lee called me a few weeks ago and asked me to join her for a Southern Ladies Tea. She said it was Mothers Day Weekend and I needed a time for me. Today we went and boy am I glad I said yes! First let me introduce you to Lee, she’s just as sassy as me!

What To Give The Mom Who Has Everything?

There are all kinds of moms in the world. 

There are June Cleaver Mom's who's best gift is something homemade from her kids. 

There are the Claire Huxtable Mom's who love the homemade gifts 

but would also love a spa certificate. 

Then there is my mom! My mom's house is decorated by a professional decorator, this is not a home that has a lot of kids crafts and children's art hanging everywhere (It's lovingly displayed in the walk in pantry). My mom is also fortunate in that most of her needs are met so gifts of necessity are also not needed. I love my Mom to death but let's face it she's hard to buy for. 

One of the things I remember most with my mom is sitting down to an occasional treat and now I can do that for her!  I am a foodie and I got that from my Mom! This years gift will celebrate that and will keep on giving!

Raspberry Peach Cobbler

This recipe is one my sister taught me. She used to make it all the time and people loved it. Peach cobbler is my undeniable favorite, after all I do live in the Peach State! I decided to mix it up a bit this time and add raspberries. Let me just say you will not believe how easy this recipe is, it will change your life!
